Surviving
is only half the battle,,

At thirteen, you would think I’d hate the number, but I’ve always embraced it. I made it my lucky number. Call me creepy, I guess.

My name is Sabrance, and I’m a 33 year old self taught digital artist, but I also have a troubling history as a cancer survivor. Honestly, surviving the cancer wasn’t even all that bad – what came after? Well, that’s the longer story. This is me, finally ready to tell it.

Most of this blog will be letters I'm writing to my dead mom, who I lost much too soon. It's cathartic, and it's my process.

As a disabled adult with a history of cancer, my health has practically stopped my life in its tracks, and my struggles don't seem to have an expiration date as of late. You’ll hear me say that I’m more than my illness, and that is because I love my art. Don’t get me wrong, I’m so intimidated by my favorite creators, and I am not at all confident, but what I am confident in is my love for the craft. Especially since it is my connection between my mom, and sister. ❤
